you never knew why you felt so good
in the strangest of places-
like in waiting rooms
and long lines that made you late
and mall parking lots on holidays.
Right now I am extremely bored. Von is watching cheetah girls 2 :S I just ate some cheese toasties and orange juice. When in doubt, listen to bloc party ok? They're really cool hahah i sound like such a freakzzzzzzz. I don't know if i'm looking forward to college; it'll be weird. We'll be the new kids!! We're gna get terrosised and bullied and tortured. A rebllion will start and then the world will end: this is my new theory but the likelihood of this happening is sorta nil? I'm getting a haircut not next week but the week after. I'm thinking about buying boots for this winter with some of the money that I will have earned from my gcse results :D Can't wait for Japan/Hong Kong. The plane rides will be so long..so i'll have to bring books and buy one or two good magazines. I'll buy i-D and a sudoku book fo' sureeeeeeee.
I'm just rambling right now.
Why isn't the weather summery? It's like, so cloudy and grey.
I'm bored! I NEED A JOB. But I'm not going to ghet ne until I get my GCSE results back. I'm gna go make more cards..
I guess I feel most vulnerable when I'm in a state where I really miss my friends and can't really do much about it. So many people are like scattered everywhere in the world right now, and most of my close friends will be in UK. Matt just told me he'll be leaving at the end of this year I think? MAN!! I almost died hahaha, NO, I'm not gonna let him leave. He's gonna have to stay! I don't care! hahaha :D hmm let's see who's leaving now shall we...
Soon - UK, MANCHESTER (dunno when) Pukar - UK, MANCHESTER (left already) Mojojojo - somewhere (left already) Moustafa - Egypt (left already) Sarahtudong - Malaysia (in a month's time?) Iffah - America (in a few weeks time) Kusum /Kabita - UK Andrew - UK (after first term) Alicia - UK, Kent (end of august) Muiz - UK (beginning of september) Sterwina - Perth (end of sept? dunno)
Okay I think there's more but yeah. On top of that I'll really miss Mr.Bushin!!! I hope we'll keep in contact through MSN hahaha. Mr.B is the coolest history teacher ever I swear, and even though we hardly learn anything in lessons (due to all the lectures and stuff), I somehow manage to get my A and A* throughout all the years he's been teaching me. AMAZING AYEEE! I really really miss my friends :( I miss pretty much everyone. Come to think about it, this was the best school year ever... and everyone in my year just made my school days so much better than it was before. I'm so thankful to God for letting me connect with so many different people, especially people I never thought I would ever talk to! like Moustafa- he's been in my science class for 2 years and yet I only started talking to him at the end of Year11. and he's really fun to talk to cause he's so gay and stuff yakno haha.
I'm really gonna miss seeing some faces around school next academic year, things will be so damn different. but it's okay, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
I got back from Sydney, Australia a few days ago and the Hillsong Conference 2007 was just so awesome!!!!! THOUSANDS of people accepting Christ into their lives, THOUSANDS of people praising and worshipping the LORD, THOUSANDS of people falling in love with the LORD all over again... ahh, such a lovely atmosphere to be in! I can't think of anywhere else to be if it wasn't in the acer arena stadium in Olympic Park!
Even though I was filled with every ounce of excitement, I felt so shaky and nervous too as we entered the acer arena stadium for the first time, for the 7.30pm service. All of us were rushing cause the place was PACKED man! (pacman haha) and yeah even my mum was excited! Sadly we didn't get to sit in a group but it's all gooood, cause we stuck as a group for the rest of the conference :) Can't be bothered to go into details but God's Word was being delivered so well by all of the speakers! Some things really hit me, and my level of faith or "excitement for God" (whatever you call it) has increased so damn much, and I'm so glad for that! I praised and worshipped God like never before, always jumping around like a crazy fool. I can finally say for once that I really honestly genuinely focused on God's presence and didn't care what was happening or who was there or whatever. I was just so caught up in the moment, and once you're caught up you get stuck, it's almost like a trap or something. I don't know if you know what I'm talking about but yeah.
Sadly I didn't get to take a picture with Brian Houston or Darlene Zchesch and stuff, but BERNARD DID! haha well with the other JAM guys anyway. JAM UNITED was so intense man WOWOwowow! Some of us only went for 2 days cause we couldnt 'take the intensity of it all' I guess hahaha but it was loadsa fun. I stopped going because I wanted more of God's Word, and not so much of games and spending money I guess hahaha (yeah, I can put it that way). Nevertheless JAM UNITED was really awesome, loadsa teens surrendering their lives to Christ too :) Praise and Worship was crazy man! I started off by standing next to Rach on the right side, then ended up next to Darren on the left... wtFRUIT man?! I guess that's how excited people were for God!
I realized several things from this trip (and even earlier on actually), and some of them I can't even begin to question! Sometimes I just feel like shouting at people when I realize these things, but then I step off because it's none of my business. It's this whole issue of LURVE that's got all of us teenagers tangled up in unneccessary thoughts and actions, and we really gotta stop experimenting and just LET. GOD. do his mighty work, let Him do what He does best! Sometimes I just feel like slapping people for no apparent reason, but maybe that way they will realize it clearer. So many people trying to make things work in their own ways and think that by prayer it will work out, but I have learned from this and trust me, when God doesn't want it to happen or work, He will somehow let you know I guess. I know how it feels like to 'be in lurveee' or whatever you want to call it- butterflies in your stomach, nervousity at its peak, feeling all tingly tangly and all that junk, but really I realized that it's all temporary. Why stick with something so damn temporary, when there's something that's for real and will actually... last? This has been such a big issue throughout youth groups in the world and yeah, wherever really, and I have been reading stuff about this and the stuff that I have been reading makes so much sense. I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't let your focus go all haywire, and be STRAIGHT WITH GOD, or else you'll never be satisfied. News travel so damn fast, that sometimes I wish I could just shut my ears because
1) I really don't care. 2) Sometimes the things I hear, I wish I never heard of at all. 3) It kills me to hear certain things over and over again, when will people ever learn?
But I guess my first point doesn't cut it since I actually do give a damn about these things, because loadsa people have been acting like a mute about these issues and it's about time that people start to CHANGE THE WAY THEY THINK and CHANGE THE WAY THEY RESPOND to certain things and to actually BE STRAIGHT WITH GOD. But you know, this is just from my perspective and unlike some of you, I realize these things and acknowledge them. I refuse to see people travel down to such a low that it's seriously not even funny anymore. I refuse to see things fall, and I refuse to see things become what it's not suppose to. It's like, heyyy since there's no one else out there, let's fall in love with the church! Just cause somebody's a Christian doesn't mean it's alright to be with them okay. If you seriously consider yourself as a follower of Christ, then start acting like one :) well to all the flirters or whatever you call yourselves, FLIRT TO CONVERT!
Okay I'm done rambling, but really, Hillsong Conference 2007 was really great and I learned loadsa things :) I hope to attend it next year again hehehe. There are more pictures but I can't be stuffed... ohhh and one more prom picture to complete this post!
love them :)
and you saw me when You took a crown of thorns and Your blood washed over me and You loved me through the nails that You bore and Your blood washes over me amazing like no other, grace without an end as Your word had promised, You died and rose again...
Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did 1JN2:6
Not that you're old daniel...haha! Anyways, for those who didn't know i met up with the DANIEL KONG! The last time i met him before today was about 2-3 years ago??? So when von told me that he was in england like, last week? I was like WHAT!? so yeah. we just had to meet up :D but then i was like, oh my days what happens if we have nothing to talk about :| then that would have been really awkward..but it was great!!! i really enjoyed myselfffff and daniel wanted to buy SKINNY JEANS!!! 23698630534705347056342 kudos to you! Cheap mondays is a very good brand!! Oh yeah, i forgot the magazine haha oh well! at least you have two copies (Y) anyways. yeah, i didn't take that many pictures (sorry von! i was really lazy and my feet were really hurting..) so yeah. i bought two new pairs of shoes:
I got these lovely red ones from topshop! I think i need to wear them abit more often (but not in london yet) to wear them out and stretch them...my big toes are really hurting now :( but i just realised this photo makes them look really ugly -_- but in actual fact they have a suede sole which makes them reeeaaaaallllyyyy comfy. and at the bottom of the shoes there is a different bird engraved on the sole! individuality much??
anddddd i also bought white plimsolls by keds from office!! mmm they're realy comfy and i ended up wearing these instead of the red shoes because yeah. i was dying and so were my feet. they have "anti-microbialblablabla" lining or something to prevent bad odours?? but to me it just looks like a towel lining inside your shoe haha so its comfy :)
I'm really proud of myself because all i bought were the shoes and foooood!! I swear, i saw at least 6 or 7 tourists with canon slrs hahaha!! OH YEAH. this stupid fake con woman outside hamleys stuck these weird rose thingies on our shirts (she put mine like, practically down my bra :|) and asked for money. she said to me, "oh you have a kind face, please give some paper money and not coins?" and i was like, errr i only have a £2 coin...
stupid woman. sticking foreign objects into my clothes. that's harrassment right?
hmm what else. oh, when we went to portobello road there was a stall selling these really oldoldold cameras!!! i was like :O:O:O so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!! they were kinda like this:
the dude was selling them for about £30+? so cool!!!! and yeah. there were so many jewellery stalls. one of them was selling "vintage" jewellery but i spotted at least 2 pieces from primark -_- vintage? my arse. me and daniel both agreed that the kate moss for topshop line was..erm, overly expensive and really...well, bad? for example a yellow net dress thing which was really long and fugly.
ok, right now i'm so tired and i need to sort out what to wear tomorrow for church. so long and thank you so much daniel for a really good time :)
