Yvonne (L) Jesus!

I think today, God really spoke through Ting to me.. she shared 2 Chronicles 20 with me, and this chapter is basically about Jehoshaphat overcoming his fear and putting his full trust in the LORD. Whatever battles the enemy/devil throws at us, we shant worry about them because when God's on our side, who can be against us? when the Moabites and Ammonites declared war on Jehoshaphat, he really didn't know what to do at all.. cleverly he didn't do things the way he wanted to do them, but his eyes looked upon God and the faith he had at that time brought about the confidence in him to overcome this pointless battle.

2 Chronicles 20:17- "You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. Go out and face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you."

Our GOD is certainly great, don't you agree? I just started Sixth Form today and it really opened my eyes. The staggering amount work is.. crazy man! beyond you can imagine I swear! My subject choices are: Eng Lit, Music, Music Tech and Art. YUP, all creative subjects! Afterall I am planning to apply to a music university somewhere in London in the future :) When I entered ENG LIT class, I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I knew was I couldn't be contempt with the A grade I got for my GCSE. Before I know it, Mr.Flynn blabs on about this and that and this and that and I just got lost halfway... thinking it was wayyyyy too much for me. To add on to that, Mr.Thin comes up to me and shares the good (not) news that I have to learn this Sonata piece by Bartok, cuz I'll be playing it with Samuel King (hahaha I love saying his full name) for this music recital on Feb 13 (so fast already set the date man). Then Ms.Stroud gives us art homework which we have to hand in by Friday :(

Well I was contemplating on whether I should continue ENG LIT or not because I didn't think I was ready for the workload and it is a very challenging subject for me.. literature, I mean. It's bad enough the textbooks aren't here yet.. because I want to do some reading already! After just talking to God and reading 2 Chronicles 20 and really pondering on about certain verses, I'm ready to face the giants :) I'm going to give it my best, and hopefully I will learn to ask for help when needed.. cuz most of the time I always stay quiet.

Funny, Mr.Thin gave me this piece of paper to do with my assignments and stuff for Music and I already lost it! hahaha so typical of me man. I swear everytime someone gives me a copy of something, it should always be doubled!

We had a FCW meeting today and I'm just really excited for Friday man :) "Mark Dance" just told me he'll be coming! and "Aaron CJ" will be bringing friends along with him :) awesomeawesome! Numbers are increasing...... that is good good good good news! I can't wait seeing everyone going up to the altar with desperate, expecting hearts.. ready for what the LORD has in store for them!

It's 4:01a.m. and I just finished organizing my folders for my subjects and stuff like that. I've got two study periods tomorrow morning, wohoo!! but of course I already figured out what I'm gonna be doing.. ART then my MUSIC TECH arrangement which is due in 2 weeks time! :O :O My sleeping hours are all messed up. I get back from school at around 4pm+? with piano lessons and stuff, reach ome at about 6pm. Then I just get so tired and my body refuses to cooperate with me so I just 'pengsan' for awhile... but then I never wake up!!! :O I always wake up at around 9.30pm or something and I'm always doing my work in the early hours of the morning. THIS IS CRAZY, I need to change my sleeping hours! HELP HELP!!! Now I've got 2 hours to sleep.

So my childhood best friend, Gayle, visited and stayed with me for 6 days! All the way from America! Amazing how 6 years didn't really seem like... well, 6 years. Janjan sleptover and the three of us hung out just like the old days! Janjan is another childhood best friend and even though she's in Brunei, I haven't seen her in agessss! It's kinda crazy now that I think about it. It's cool though cause there wasn't an awkward moment, maybe for the first time when I met up with Gayle outside the mall- I was still not used to her strong American accent. (I just killed a bug with a tissue btw) TM's party was very.. interesting, haha. Me and Jan took a picture with Alex Band from The Calling! and Amerie too :D I felt so weird, not only because I got a haircut (mind you, the hairdresser clayed my hair up! so weird man) and yeah.. I felt so 'girly' it was scary! It was nice getting compliments from my friends though, saying that I looked different/nice blahblah.... but I'm the worse person that you can give compliments to dude, just because I don't say anything after that hahahaha.

GCSE RESULTS are out in 8 and a half hours! I'm not that nervous or excited, to be honest I'm not bothered that much anymore. I really can't believe I'm going back to JIS again, I really wish I went to some other college where I could study graphic design, photography, music (in a much higher standard) etcetc. I haven't even listened to the 2CDS Mr.Thin gave me (for music).. talking about music, I'll be sitting my grade8 piano exam in 15 days, and I'm heckaa not ready!!! I still need to work on my arpeggios, 3rd aparts, 6th aparts, chromatics, sight reading (!!!), AURAL(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), Beethoven piece, Bach piece, but not so much of the Mendelssohn piece. Heck I need to work on everything!! I need to glue myself to the piano man.. which is why I haven't been going out so much these past few days, I kinda 'calmed' myself down from going out till late at night.

I was reading a sermon note in Cornerstone The Church, and I learned a few things! Like for example, our motives may not be visible, but they are very very significant. In order for us to have motivation, we need the right motives to have the right motivation and the right method! God sees what's hidden in our hearts and obviously examines our hearts. We cannot hide or fool God with what's really inside our hearts... I guess this is the reason why some Christians don't get blessed, it's cause their motives are wrong... and a wrong motive is seen as 'evil' in God's sight. James 4:3 "When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives." I have learned that we need to have a sense of responsibility and ownership in order for us to have the right mindset to have the right motive, motivation and method. I don't know about you, but I want God to help me to achieve a correct pattern of thoughts/behaviour so that I can live my life to the fullest, knowing that I am doing things with the right motive and with the strong motivation that will keep me going the whole way through, and not just halfway.
I heard it from somewhere, not sure where but whenever I do something, I always remember that.. we should always do our possible best in whatever we do, never do things halfway, but knowing in the end that we did it with our best attempt :) especially when it's for God. I learned that I should praise God when I win, and when I lose. I did not expect the grade I got for my English Language, but I should praise Him anyway, giving Him all the thanks for such a wonderful English teacher- Mr.Flynn, and for him teaching me so many things throughout these past few years since he has taught me. However I was very much delighted with my grade for English Literature, and I praised Him for that too, giving Him thanks. I must admit, I was pretty upset about my grade for Eng.Lang but I just began talking to Him.. thanking Him anyway even though I wasn't in the best of moods or whatever. It feels good, you know? Giving Him the praise that He truly deserves. I love giving God the praise man, just because he deserves it.. He doesn't need our praise, because He's.. GOD.. you know? but as His children, it is only right for us to give Him our praise. Afterall that He has done for us, we would be crazy enough not to praise Him for whatever man. Through whatever circumstance, have hope. Never give up, and no to Dashboard Confessional because our hope does not "dangle on a string". Our HOPE is in the LORD JESUS who helps us through trials and tribulations, and our HOPE is far more stronger than those who have their hopes dangling on a stupid string.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is to always check on our hearts! Talk to it if you have to man (that's what I do haha) ask how your heart is! If it's feeling a little bit upset, talk to it.. talk to God.. and mostly just surrendering your heart to Him. It is also important that we maintain a pure heart (the right motive). If we choose (again, it's about choices.. it's always about choices and making them) to maintain a pure heart, out of this, the wellspring of our lives will flow out the right energy (motivation). Then, with motivation will come a right procedure that brings about desired results! (method) :) When you find yourself struggling in maintaining a pure heart or whatever, always always look upon the LORD and ask Him to help you cleanse yourself of your wrong motives and replace them with the right ones.

(PSALM 129:23-24)
"Search me, O God, and know my heart; and see if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.."

I believe that He will lead us into the way everlasting, and that He will correct us when we are at fault. I pray that just as for me, He will also help you make the right choices and help you notice your wrong motives. I pray that you will look upon Him for guidance and will start to have the right motives and motivation in doing things.. especially daily things in your life :) AMEN!

Yvonne loves.

Have you ever felt so exhausted that you find that even when your mind consists of countless thoughts and words or sentences, somehow these things won't come out of your mouth? I guess you could say that's how I felt last night, and I really don't know why. Lack of sleep maybe, but I'm surprised at how obvious I was because everyone kept telling me I looked tired.

Well, maybe I am tired.. tired of what is going on, or what has been going on, I'm not so sure myself. I am so happy to have a friend like Angelyn Choo because God has blessed me with such a wonderful friend like her. I can tell her my craziest ideas and she'll support me! I can even tell her random things that may seem inappropriate but really isn't. I don't think we have ever fought before which I find pretty cool, and half the time, we agree with each other more than disagree. Conversation never runs dry with her, except when we're really tired I suppose. We inspire each other and sometimes she keeps me back on my feet, and I really thank her for that.

Recently both of us have the same view on a certain subject, and I really cannot do this by myself. I guess we can be wannabes and call ourselves the "TRANSFORMERS!" hahaha and we are all about a God who is all about the people! (Yeah we even have our own motto, cool right? I know! hahaha) and well, it's like, sometimes I look around, and I ask myself, "where are the people?" sometimes I think the world lacks of real people, you know? like people who are so crazily passionate about what they do, what they think, and their views and motives. It seems like people are so caught up with what is "popular/new" these days, that they seem to forget the pure meaning of it all. I have all these thoughts with me, and sometimes all I need is to share them with a friend who may not agree, but understands the whole concept of it all. Come to think about it, all of us are in need of people who will step in the boat with us, and ride. We cannot just merely stare at the subject itself, and we cannot run from it aswell. We can't attack it, because it might explode into something even worse- an explosion of misunderstandings, lack of knowledge, absence of the heart. We need to treat it with care, hoping and praying that it will slowly heal through our prayers with Him. Whilst doing this, we must never forget to check ourselves- to confirm that we are not lying to our own self, to check our motives and assets, our attitudes towards what we are really doing.. yakno, all that stuff. Make sure our heart is in the right place, and make sure that Jesus is in it. We cannot be self-centered people, we have to be God-centered people! I can't wait to see this subject transform into something bigger and better, and all we are doing this for is for the King who deserves it all. Someone worth sacrificing for, Someone worth our time, Someone who has loved us from the beginning and still loves us up to this day, and will love us forever- Jesus. It's all about Him, and He has given us a spirit of power, love and self-discpiline, not a spirit of timidity. We've got POWER, we'll USE IT! We've got LOVE, we'll SPREAD IT! We've got self-discipline, we'll SHOW and TEACH! Sometimes people are so scared to speak up, because we are afraid of what people will say about us. Sometimes we are even so contempted with where we are, and we should never be- always strive for something that is better than where we are right now. Sometimes people are so afraid they may lose people, or things along the way. These are the doubts that are in our mind most of the time, and sometimes we just need to push them alongside for a moment and face reality. REALITY is the truth, it is what is right infront of our very eyes- misread and misinterpret it any way you like but it will always be the truth and sometimes the truth hurts and isn't all that good. It's time that we SPEAK UP and ACT!

Sometimes... all you need is someone to step in the boat with you, and you know you're destined for something much better, for He the biggest dreamer of all, has given us dreams for several reasons. It's time that I see my dreams taking place, and in the end, knowing that it is all because of Him.
