Things haven't been 'perfectly in place' lately, and it's in these kinda circumstances that you gotta be strong and of good courage (Joshua 1:9). For I know my God is with me wherever I go, and I know I shant fear of anything or anyone! I've got God on my side, who else do I need? It's time to shine and stand strong, and remain strong on His Word. Yea, no doubt things are going to waver along the way and I can't always say "oh I'm GREAT!" all the time, but things are strange like that. I really love the book 1 Peter, cause it teaches us that in all things, we should always continue to put our hope in Christ. Thank God for James too, for being so direct with his words. He tells us that our tongue is untamable, and it's true when people say we've gotta be careful with what comes out of our mouth.
I was very upset with my mum this morning due to some silly incident that happened. I was late for my music lesson again, and I won't go into details but I hate being late for lessons! and especially this one, cause I was really looking forward to it. My lesson time was at 11.30a.m. and my mum picked me up right at 11.30 (early much!? haha) and well yeah. At this point in time I would usually throw my tantrums and bBLABLABLALDAHJDKLHADKh my way like there's no tomorrow.. and I remember it clearly says in the bible whenever there are two or three gathered, He is in the midst of us fo`sho! and well I was just thinking. If Jesus was sitting at the back seat, would I shout my way to my mum, blaming her for being late and all that? Would I even dare to do such an action in front of Him, the One who died for all my sins? Would I even dare to look Him in the face again after doing so? These questions wandered around my head, and I thought about it.. I knew the right thing to do. Instead, I teared up because I was that upset I guess. I felt his peace within me, I knew He was there with me. Although I may not know everything that's happening in my mum's world, it's okay, He knows. He will take care of her. When I cry, I usually do it for other people. I cry for people more than myself. I really don't know why man! But that's just something to think about. We should always be alert in everything that we do. Think about the actions that you do, would you really do them in front of Him? Would you say the things that you say in front of Him, and to Him?
Ephesians 4:29 says "Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers." which ties in perfectly with James 3:8-11 "But no man can tame the tongue. It is and unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. DOes a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh."
Apparently our tongue is "full of deadly poison".. DEADLY POISON! It is so strong to the extent that it even relates to death! Imagine ah, you speaka, then people die immediately cause of the bad words you say. Haha ok that's freaky! I dunno why I'm laughing, maybe cus I know it WONT happen -_- but that right there just demonstrates how powerful and influencial we can be with words. I hope you will think twice before you speak to others now. This includes "gossiping", a famous trend amongst teenagers.. and well, adults too :P Everyone ah, like to talk talk talk. Nothing else to do bah! but what do we benefit from gossip? N-O-T-H-I-N-G! Think about it mahn!
Leviticus 19:16
"Do not go about spreading slander among your people. Do not do anything that endangers your neighbour's life. I am the LORD." (NIV)
"Do not spread slanderous gossip among your people. Do not stand idly by when your neighbour's life is threatened. I am the LORD." (NLT)
Philippians 2:14-16 says "Do all things without complaining and disputting, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding stead fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain."
This is how we should aim to be, blamemess and harmless, just like Christ, as we are followers of Christ. "...holding stead fast the word of life"- ah, I love this. God's Word is the Word of Life... "Life" itself signifies birth, freedom, the idea of things renewed, etc. (hey, literature does help me! kudos to mr.flynn!) I don't know about you, but I love reading the Word. It's so interesting and we learn new things everyday :) Sometimes when you're too busy, you just gotta stop. and. think. Reflect, breathe. Contemplate, but don't overdo it, cause that might lead to provoking thoughts. Remember that yesterday is gone, and you can't change the past.. but work towards the future, hand in hand with God, the only person who will lead you to the paths of righteousness. We gotta hold stead fast to the Word that brings LIFE. Whenever we recite verses over people, we are feeding them. They were hungry before, but now they are even hungrier, having heard the verse that is spoken over them. Their soul thirsts, it was once dry, but now it's slightly getting filled up.. we should continuously pray that our friend's cups will run over!
I don't know about you, but I'm sooo excited for Christmas! I can't wait! However I do have to get some studying done. I am trying, I really am. but it's so hard to concentrate when Christmas is just around the corner, and when you know so many amazing things are gonna happen soon! but I am trying, really. Inman and Ada- please wait for me, I will discover your love soon. Black Cove, Shining Rocks, Cold Mountain, will always stay the same. ANYWAY, about Christmas.. Although I don't get to have a big feast, or I might not receive bundles of gifts, I am always forever thankful that a year ago, I discovered the real meaning of Christmas- what it's all really about. It ain't about some Santa Claus, or presents, or snow, and it sure ain't just another day to be all merry for no reason cause it's about Him! It all comes back to Him, the source and root of this thing we're living, called Life. It's so cool how Christmas is marked on the calendar, that everyone is celebrating that day, even though some may do it for different reasons, they are still celebrating the day of the birth of Jesus'! He will reign forever! Thank You Jesus! I love you :)
(ohhh and Rora, you are my bestestestest friend ever :) to the extent that I would cut my hair just to put it in the journal! hahahahaha ILY! I know you love me too cuz u know, ma hair is everywhere, screaming infedelities, taking its wear~ hahahaha! we should talk more. maybe online talk is getting old now, and maybe we're better off live, DUH. I sound better live anyway. but thank you always for being so patient! its amazing how days, weeks, months and years pass by, and yet the second we meet up again after all that time, we're still as close as ever! still as comfortable. maybe we're a little bit more strange and weird, but we're still cool. cause u know, cool kids, they belong together mahn. and I have stuff to tell you (as always but then never end up telling you) hahaha lobyahdudee. don't forget that list! :P)

we shall also live with Him.
If we endure,
We shall also reign with Him.
If we deny Him,
He also will deny us.
If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself."
