Yvonne is back!

Is it just me, or is everyone playing Shoskatovich!? The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra is good, however I prefer the orchestra I saw in Singapore two years ago. I had the opportunity to listen to Brahms' Violin Concerto in D (op.77), and Isabelle Faust, a female violinist rocked the stage with her purple/bright blue dress! However I preferred Schumann's Symphony No.2 in C (op.61) better, it just seemed more dynamic and appealing to me.

A bunch of us had the chance to talk to the MPO's Timpani player, Paul Phibert. The things he said really affected me in a way, but not so. He said being a musician ain't easy, you gotta learn how to switch on and switch off.. but when you're switched on, you gotta be 100% switched ON; anything less than a 100, you're not giving it your best. Oh, and classical music is dying.. unfortunately. Everything is MTV and MTV is everything today. Can't be bothered to talk about that because you would know where I'm heading towards to so nevermind!

We had the chance to watch the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra rehearse as well, and watching teens playing... was amazing. Seriously. They had a harpist- Bryan Lee.. I wanna learn the harp now! but yeah, I'm planning to audition for the MPYO next year I guess. Just an idea. Then I went online and searched more Philharmonic Orchestras and there was the Asian Youth Orchestra (based in Hong Kong), which is wayyyyyyy XTREME man haha. Yet again, I find myself baslhgdsaighasdgh about this whole music thing. It would be really awesome if I was at a music college right now, having several piano tutors and doing loadsa recordings and stuff. I had my ambition set since I was 6! to be a "PIANIST". 10 years later, the dream is still going strong. One day, I will be on stage at an awesome venue like Carnegie Hall rocking a really cool grand piano! One day.....

But is this what God wants me to do?
