More Than Life

It's currently 3:45a.m. and I'm still awake, and obviously I shouldn't be up til this hour seeing as I just got better from being sick and all. The most amazing thing happened man I swear, I had a high fever of 39 degrees and a really bad sore throat and cough and blablabla yesterday night and I was praying in tongues until I fell asleep. When I woke up this morning, I realized the fever was gone!! and I wasn't coughing as much and all that there is left is my sore throat- it feels like there's a rock or something stuck in my throat I swear -_- so horrible, but praise God for my speed recovery =) Thanks to all those who kept me in their prayers!

Well I felt artsy fartsy and decided to work on my prep work for my GCSE art exam (yes, the REAL DEAL!) hahaha. I got my nerd on and studied biology for 2 hours this afternoon outside my balcony. However I did get distracted cause of the grasscutter, and so I decided to use my headphones to reduce the level of noise he was making, but it didn't really work. so I moved the whole table to the living room upstairs just outside my room, and a few minutes later my mum came home and started yapping all around the house which just spoiled the silence I was enjoying during my nerdy time. so I moved the table back to my room where I couldn't really concentrate due to all the pictures that are stuck on my wall (filled with people I love of course) hahaha and yeah. People, Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from a high water concentration to a low water concentration across a semi-permeable membrance! but duh, of course you knew that already.

Maybe it hasn't hit me yet that my GCSEs have actually begun, and this is quite worrying. I should be studying my ass off but I'm not. WHY?!?! I think I study better with friends (that can help me) around, which is why I'm having nerdy time with Bernard and Matthew on Thursday and hopefully some nerdy time with Baxter on Sunday after service!

Whilst I was painting, I managed to finish Season 2 and 3 of SCRUBS! heck yeah! :) and when I finished that, I decided to watch the Hillsongs + Delirious? LIVE dvd I bought in Singapore. Whilst listening to the songs, I just reflected back on what God has done in my life recently. For sure he has given me so many new people in my life, and because He knows I love people and having new friends to no end, He has given me so many interesting people to meet these past few days at camp. also, I have been getting to know Baxter so much better than before (we were kinda like hi-bye friends before) and I consider him as a close friend now :) Baxter is so cool you see, so I'm gonna post a picture of him. (hopefully he won't kill me)

{L}Baxter and {R}Haziq

Baxter and Haziq again.

Hahaha oh and he is quite a poser, he poses like 24/7! Well it's been ages since I've gotten close to someone in school, like as in 'real friends'. Most of the people I call close friends are the people I see every Friday and Sunday (you guys should know who you are). and I've also got a few in school, but I miss the feeling of having a best guy friend you know? but yeah, got to know Baxter so much more and he's such an interesting person to talk to :) and I'm not just saying that! hahaha he's someone I can actually talk to properly and this is gonna sound so stupid, but finally for once, I feel like someone actually cares, you know? =)

woah I just looked at the time and it's 4:58a.m.! how did 3:45 get to 4:58?! I just went on a grabbing-spree on friendster and grabbed loadsa peoples photos haha. I'm so excited for Acts29 on Friday! and service on Sunday at the new place AC2! I'm so excited for God :) and of course to meet the new comers that came for camp!

God has really answered my prayers. I remember a year ago or so being so depressed because I thought I didn't have any 'real' friends or just friends who gave a damn about me. Look at me now, I have people I can actually call my own brothers and sisters :)

How blessed am I to have friends like those?
...very blessed :)

I remember the first time I went to Acts, I was only wishing and hoping that I could be one of those people up on stage in the worship team. A few months later, Jeremy asks me to audition for Keyboard and Drums! I remember he asked me to audition for keyboard right on the spot after an evening service. I was so nervous but it went well and I did okay :D now I'm actually in the worship team! and I've never been happier :D God has also been answering my prayers in other areas :) bit personal to mention here so yeah. Sometimes I just don't know how to give thanks to God, even to the extent of me telling Him that I love Him isn't enough, you know? But all I can do is to give him all my praise and to worship him, and to tell him I love Him, even more than life. I am learning to 'starve the feeling' because I know it will go away. I am slowly learning.. whatever it takes to be more like Christ :)

I'm getting my hair dyed tomorrow woop woop! now I don't know if I should sleep or not. it's almost six in the morning and if I do go to bed, chances are I probably won't wake up till later in the afternoon which means I will miss dying my hair and miss the opportunity to go to Melissa's house to study.

I love You more than life.. Jesus, you are the saviour of my soul :)

Acts 29 Camp Extraordinary '07!

CAMP EXTRAORDINARY '07 was sooooooooo good! God blessed that camp fo' SHO man :D Well I have taken and learned a lot from camp, and I must say my faith in God definitely increased. God's presence stirred our hearts during each session and Pastor Matt (from planetshakers) was just so awesome, and he's 'kewl buh-nah-nas'. He can do voice immitations like no other, iswear! His deliverance of the Word kept me to the edge of my seat, and I was always all-ears. It's obvious God is using him to the fullest already :)

155 young people came together and the hall was just filled with laughter, prayer, praise and worship, hope, faith and love. 35 or so people got saved :) some of them re-dedicated their lives to Christ, and 30 or so people could speak in tongues for the very first time! I was so happy for Sheng :) God has done something amazing at camp, and now I'm more certain than ever that He's gonna change people's lives completely.

Even though I didn't turn up to any of the worship practices, I didnt care that I had to miss breakfast and stuff just to be in the hall with the others to have a short practice. I learned to let the Holy Spirit lead me in praise and worship, and it was just so unbelievable for me to play 'Beautiful Saviour' on the keyboard when I wasnt able to play it earlier on. Only one thing matters at the end of praise and worship anyway, hoping that our praise and worship would be acceptable to Him. I think this year's camp songs would have to be: 'Solid Rock' and 'Beautiful Saviour'. Just seeing kids as young as 11 giving their praises to Him was such a fleeting image.

I made several friends and it was just so great being around awesome people. I love the feeling of being around people :D I made friends with this really cute twelve year old kid- Ka Yong. He was a member of the tribe that I was in- Kickapoo! which was lead by Bernard hahaha. Our cheer OWNED, but sadly we didn't win hahaha. I talked to Wei Jin properly for once, even though I see him every Friday and Sunday. It was just really nice talking to people I never got the chance or guts to talk to before :) and I got closer to Sheng than before- it's more than a hi-bye friendship now I guess haha. Hopefully I will be able to see him at least once a month, if he comes to acts that is.
Hanging out with The Pokers was really awesome as well! Myself, Melissa and Angel decided to add more people to our group since we were joining the Freestyle Competition. Next thing we knew we saw 8 people rapping, jumping, laughing outside my room in the corridor. The Pokers included myself, Melissa, Angel, Shaun, Bryant, Miko, Sheng and Gerald. We rapped/sang in the end/barbie girl/numb remixed hahaha, and all of us basically freaked dance on stage. Spin won the freestyle competition though, and they performed it at service this morning hahaha and well we were just like 'man that should have been us :( we owned!' but its okay, we had loadsa fun practising with everyone outside the corridor hahaha.

I was so glad that Andy, Pukar and Matthew came :) It was so great seeing Pukar going up to the altar, and I couldnt stop cheering for him and the others who made the greatest decision in their life. Andy enjoyed camp so much and was touched by His Word that he's looking forward to coming to acts! This made me sooo happy because I've been asking him numerous times to come to acts but he was never so keen on it. He said it was fun, so, hah! :D

I'm looking forward to this week's Acts29 service :) can't wait to see all the new faces again! and it's been so long since I last went to Acts29 since I was in Singapore with Melissa and her Mum. Singapore was great, and Rachael Yamagata was awesomeeee, and I got her autograph! (after waiting in line for an hour!! haha). Rachael Yamagata's voice is so deep and smoky and so damn unique, so jealous :( haha.

Anyway my GCSEs have actually started, (well my GCSE Art Exam anyway) and I have my Chinese Speaking in a week, and then it's English Language and English Literature (which will be 3 or so hours? Longest writing exam ever! Art is 10 hours, but is being split up into days). I really need to get my nerd on and study, and hopefully Baxter will help me with physics. I don't know if I can be bothered with tuition anymore, because I really feel like I can do it on my own. With help from some friends of course and from Him :) it's 1.45a.m. and I'm watching Scrubs! I have to get up super early tomorrow to get my nerd on!
